Harry Blackstone, the American magician, and Dunninger the diviner, were close friends.
One evening, when they were getting dressed to go to a formal dinner, Blackstone couldn’t find his white tie. Dunninger gave him a black one.
“I can’t wear a black tie with tails!” said Blackstone.
“If you are a great magician,” said Dunninger, “you can change it to a white one.”
“And if you are a great diviner,” replied Blackstone, “you can tell me where. I left the white one.”
